- Soul Descenders in Texarkana -
On a hot sunny day in Texas, Soul Descenders rips up at the Dark
Slide skate park for teens while preparing to play The Rock Star
Sports club the following day. When we arrived at The Rock Star
Sports Bar in Fort Worth, we were in awe by the Dime Bag Darrel
pictures Posters and signed Guitars that hung on the wall. The
place is ran by friends of Dime Bag and Vinnie Paul. We got the
honor of taking a trip down to visit Dime Bag Darrells memorial
grave site. Enough to put a tear on your eye.

Playing the Rock Star Sports bar made us feel a bit close to
Dime bag. The hospitality from Warren and Slammin Jay and Big
Herm was excellent, they treated us nicely and free food on the
road is always a treat. After the show we were asked to come
back and play The Rock Star again on Sunday Night on our way
back through Fort Worth from San Antonio.
The next Day we headed to San Antonio and played at Bonds 007
with some heavier bands. Long trip and the owner bailed on
paying us any many and we were hungry. Enough said about San
Antonio, over all we had an excellent show there and sold many
CD's.
Sunday we headed back to Fort Worth to play The Rock Star and we
opened for a couple of nationals. Gypsy Polisters and Shadow
Side. The best night of our tour yet. We had many offers after
the show to come back to Texas. A few promoters were telling us
they have been waiting for some real good metal like this. That
was nice to hear. A grand offer came our way to Play Austin
Texas labor day week on a huge festival with a very nice pay
check. Other promoters offered us shows and a magazine review in
a Texas mag called "MUEN". So we left Texas on a High. This
could become the second for Soul Descenders ! |
